Job Title: Construction Materials Testing Technician (CMT)

We are looking for a driven and hard-working individual who has previous experience in construction materials testing to join our team as the Construction Materials Testing Technician (CMT). This individual will be performing construction quality assurance through field inspections, testing, and observations for commercial construction projects across the Atlanta Metropolitan, GA area. We have other opportunities for experienced field technicians with their ACI, ICC, NICET, Nuclear Gauge, GSWCC, RTT, OSHA 40 HAZWOPER or any other similar certification as well.

Job Description

• This person will be responsible for reviewing plans and specifications in preparation of field observations on construction sites.
• Documenting field activities, observations, and testing results on projects by logging daily reports.
• Field testing of soil, concrete, asphalt, aggregate, and masonry mortar/ grout for compliance with ASTM, AASHTO, DOT, and/or project specifications.
• Daily use of field and laboratory information management system.
• Calibrating field and laboratory equipment to industry codes and standards.
• Communicating with management staff, general contractors, and clients.
• Follow safety rules and practices and other safety requirements for all projects.
  

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required
• Previous experience as a Construction Materials Testing Technician (CMT)
• Preferred Certifications: ACI, ICC, NICET, Nuclear Gauge, GSWCC, RTT, OSHA 40 HAZWOPER or any other similar certification
