Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities:
Permit Issuers are trained and approved persons responsible for approving Work Permits. Roles/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Informing the Permit Holder of the work to be done, the exact location of the tools and plant /equipment to be used in the work, the hazards that may be present and all the precautions prescribed on the Work Permit that must be taken during the work and ensuring the Permit Holder has transmitted those instructions to his staff and Contractors
• Identifying and addressing any conflicts between the proposed work and other activities in the area, and if necessary cross-referencing the relevant Work Permits in the location
