We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Corporate Partnerships to join our team in the non-profit industry. This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned professional to lead our corporate partnership initiatives and drive our mission forward. You will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with corporate partners, managing grants, and coordinating event sponsorships. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong understanding of the corporate sector and a proven track record in forging strong, sustainable partnerships.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a strategic plan for corporate partnerships, identifying key sectors and potential partners in line with our mission and values.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with existing corporate partners, ensuring their needs are met and exploring opportunities for further engagement.
- Secure financial support from companies through partnerships, sponsorships, and grants.
- Oversee the full cycle of grants management, including research, proposal writing, submission, and reporting.
- Develop and coordinate event sponsorships, working closely with our events team to ensure successful execution.
- Represent the organization at external events and meetings, presenting a professional and compelling image of our work.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure partnership activities align with our strategic objectives and enhance our public image.
- Monitor and report on partnership activities, providing regular updates to the senior management team and Board.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in corporate partnerships, preferably within the engineering or nonprofit sector.
- Proven experience in grants management and event sponsorship.
- Strong understanding of the corporate sector, with a demonstrated ability to establish and maintain relationships with corporate partners.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to represent the organization effectively to external stakeholders.
- Strong strategic thinking and planning skills, with a proven ability to develop and implement successful partnership strategies.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Strong team player, with the ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners.
- Experience closing multiple 6 figure gifts
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree will be considered an asset.
