Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Leadership: Provide leadership and strategic direction to multiple material processing facilities within the region, ensuring the highest level of operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Safety and Compliance: Oversee safety protocols, compliance with environmental regulations, and adherence to all company policies and procedures. Foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
- Production Management: Monitor and optimize material processing operations to ensure production targets are met while maintaining quality standards and cost-effective processes.
- Budget and Financial Management: Manage the financial performance of the facilities in the region, including budget development and cost control measures.
- Team Management: Build, develop, and lead a team of facility managers, operators, and support staff, ensuring they have the necessary resources and training to excel in their roles.
- Performance Monitoring: Implement key performance indicators (KPIs) and regularly evaluate facility performance, identifying areas for improvement and taking corrective actions.
- Vendor and Supplier Management: Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to ensure a reliable flow of materials, parts, and services required for facility operations.
- Environmental Responsibility: Promote sustainability and environmentally responsible practices within the facilities.
- Customer Relations: Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers, addressing their needs and ensuring satisfaction.
- Reporting: Generate and present periodic reports on facility performance, operational metrics, and budgetary status to senior management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., engineering, business management) or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years of leadership experience in material processing, manufacturing, or related industries.
- Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and safety procedures.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
- Financial acumen and experience in budget management.
- Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Willingness to travel within the region as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in a related field.
- Experience in waste management or energy-from-waste industries.
- Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma principles and process improvement methodologies.
