Software Tester

Key Accountabilities

Planning & Organization

• Test plan and communication to release applications.
• Develop a clear set of quality standards and guidelines.
• Plan, design, and execute tests.
• Write use cases and user stories on the basis of scope document.
• Participate in feature development and drive quality into development process.
• Test, troubleshoot and critique software components and interfaces in technical depth.
• Perform manual, primarily Smoke, Integration, Functional, Regression, GUI, Database, Black Box, and White Box Testing.
• Provide periodical reports of deviation of QA standards.
• To participate in requirements and test documentation walkthroughs and reviews.
• To participate in test execution for performance and load testing of business applications.

Customer Excellence (internal/external customer engagement and relationship management)

• Develop a strong and productive relationship with internal customers.
• Match customer requirements with solution delivered.
• Work with developers for immediate testing.
• Liaise with the rest of the Release and Business Process teams to plan and share test results.

Qualifications, experience, skills and competencies

Experience required:

• At least 3 years experience in software testing/quality control.
• Thorough knowledge in verifying data base activities and data migration process.
• Experience with enhancing existing automation systems and utilization of testing best practices.

Education requirement:

• Bachelors Degree in Information Systems or Information Technology.

Knowledge & Skills:

• Knowledge of Bug life cycle.
• A good understanding of the software development process.
• Knowledge of performance and security testing.
• Selenium, Microsoft Visual Studio, Microsoft Test Manager, Azure DevOps, JIRA.

Competencies:

• Understand functional & performance specifications and prepare test plan / strategy.
• Identify & develop automation test framework and convert all the manual test cases to automation test scripts.
• Evaluating product reliability and scalability.
• Well organized and highly capable team player.
• Flexible with working hours.
