The role:
It's 2023 and my client is proactively seeking an experienced and driven construction manager ready for a new challenge. This role is based in the outter skirts of Melbourne,Northern Suburbs.They are a reputable and forever growing tier 1 residential construction builder.
As a Construction Manager you will be responsible and accountable for the overall performance of the projects delivery team, whilst overseeing building administration, construction management and estimating. Driving efficiency gains and continuous improvement within a professional and energetic team of construction supervisors which delivers developments at budgeted cost, on time and at the required quality.
Responsibilities:
- Succesfully manage a team of Site Managers across multiple domestic projects whilst ensuring
- Provide continuos support for development, implementation and improvement of construction processes across the team
- Ensuring that all jobs are being managed effectively and up to date
- Effectively collaborating with Site Supervisors/Managers to ensure builds are completed on time and within advised budget
- Maximising workflow through efficient systems, including trade retention and allocation and supplier managemen
- Maintaining call forwards, OH&S and completion schedules documentation on a regularly basis
- Sharingappropriate and professional advice to the team throughout the constrcution process
To be succesful, you will require:
- A minimum of 3 - 5 years as a current Construction Manager managing residential volume, medium-density and semi commercial projects from start to finish
- Having managed a team of minimum 4+ supervsiors/site managers
- Proactive problem-solving skills.
- Extensive knowldge across planning, mananging, handling budgets, contracts, estimating etc
- Effective communication skills to lead and provide continous support and leadership
- Proven ability to schedule jobs effectively.
