- Supervise all related rigging work requirements onboard a ship in line with department work instruction, implement and follow-up with subordinates to ensure compliance on safety, quality and productivity requirements.
- Implements the day-to-day operations assigned to the Pipe Department/section to ensure compliance with the established standards and procedures.
- Ensuring the health and safety as the first priority on daily activities
- Coordinate with Supervisor and Piping Sr. Foreman or Foreman for all rigging needs.
- Plan and distribute the Riggers according to the project s required rigging workforce.
- Conduct daily inspection of lifting gears and equipment before use.
- Supervise / monitor the ongoing blind lifts ensuring proper deployment of signalman and adequate compliance on the control measures put in place.
- Where applicable, provide mechanized tools and equipment instead of the traditional tools / equipment in improving productivity and promoting safety at work.
- Check and identify all the safety hazards and infringements within the area and intervene to rectify.
- Conduct daily toolbox talk highlighting the safe rigging and lifting issues / alerts and campaigns
Requirements
- Secondary education graduate
- Minimum 3 years of experience in oil and gas/marine/shipping industry
- Basic and Advance Rigging
- Basic knowledge in calculation of safe working load
- Well versed with the international / standard crane hand signals.
- Familiar with radio communication command and ethics
