Commercial Interior Design is seeking an editor keen to work on creating content across print and digital platforms for the region s dynamic commercial interior design industry. The editor spearheads the brand s editorial presence, producing content that informs, provokes, and inspires an audience of industry professionals. This is an exciting opportunity for an editor seeking a fast-paced work environment at a major publishing house who is keen to take on the position of thought leader.
Requirements
- Professional experience writing news and features, and creating a content calendar. An ability to report complex issues accurately, quickly, and simply is essential
- Strong copy-editing and headline-writing skills
- The ability to moderate conferences and act as a thought leader in the industry
- The ability to create an audience strategy and grow reach month on month on the website and social channels
- A commercial mindset to work with the wider team to help the brand grow in all aspects
- Good communication skills, helping you to influence people that you do not manage
- Strong time management and deadline-hitting skills
- An ability to structure and present online articles for maximum impact and accessibility
- Well-organised and self-motivated; able to work without supervision
- Good knowledge of CMS, and Google Analytics preferred, or an aptitude to acquire it quickly
- Ability to multi-task, handling multiple projects at the same time without sacrificing quality
- Interest and experience in interior design
- Public speaking skills, including giving speeches, moderating and hosting events, and participating in panel discussions
Main Responsibilities
- Source, commission, and edit news stories
- Write online news and longer-form articles
- Compile and send out email bulletins to deadline, monitoring and improving click-through and open rates
- Curate the website to increase its use by subscribers and registered readers
- Control quality of website content, including ensuring that all elements are up-to-date
- Use online analytics to identify the online content that is most valued by our audience, using this to inform your content strategy
- Work with other departments to promote events and awards, and sponsored and promotional articles
- Represent ITP Media Group at industry events
- Work alongside the events team and sales team to organise and promote the annual Commercial Interior Design awards
