We have an exciting opportunity for a driven Commercial Finance Manager to join the team at our Premier Inn Hotel Regional Office in Dubai.

What is the purpose of the job?


As a Finance Manager you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the finance and accounts department, in combination with preparation and management of the hotel s financial budgets, implementing and overseeing all activities relating to the financial aspects of the hotel in compliance with the UAE laws and also by the Premier Inn s operating procedures and standards.



Main responsibilities include:


  • Leading & managing standardized corporate purchasing function.
  • Analyzing and supporting opportunities for cost control and management.
  • Managing the annual budget process under direction of the Finance Director.
  • Supporting the Finance Director in preparing management reports.
  • Responsible for managing any other day to day finance/procurement related works assigned by the Finance Director such as month end closing.
  • Together with the Finance Director, direct the development of the Financial and Accounting policies, procedures and systems and advise senior management on the interpretation and implementation of these policies, procedures & systems. This includes ensuring that there is an appropriate internal control framework in place within the Company to effectively manage Key Business Risks and safeguard the Company s assets.
  • Ensure timely and accurate recording of all financial transactions of the Company. Verify and sign off all payments including payroll.
  • Maintain adequate internal control over revenues, expenses, assets, and Liabilities of the hotel.
  • Lead accounting staff to ensure accurate accounting and timely reporting of financial data to department heads, hotel management, corporate office, and the owners in accordance with IFRS and PI guidelines.



Requirements

Key Requirements


-Professional Accounting Qualification i.e. CA/ACCA/CPA
-Experience in all areas of financial accounting, reporting and working capital management
-Minimum 8 years of experience in Finance and Accounts in hospitality industry
-Knowledge of advanced computer-based accounting systems and software
-Experience of working in a payroll software is advantageous
-Commercial outlook with planning and organizing skills
-People Management Skills
