We are looking for a talented Vendor Relationship Manager to hit the ground running and help take our business to the next level. You will be taking your knowledge of concept selection, leasing and relationship management to the next level with a premier hospitality group in a truly one-of-a-kind location and combine your passion for curating experiences with the excitement of personally growing and managing over twenty-five vendors.
As Vendor relationship manager you will be directly responsible for sourcing, securing, and managing the onboarding and ongoing operations of the market vendors and farmers that will feature with the client market. This will involve a strong knowledge of the Saudi retail, F&B and artisan vendor and operator market to be able to source the best selection of vendors possible within the framework of our leasing guidelines. Offering short, medium, and certain long-term leases, this role will offer a great opportunity to keep your finger on the pulse and keep the vendor mix evolving to bring to market the most exciting market concept possible. In addition, you will work hand in hand with the general manager to be accountable for all the daily operations, personally performing tasks while leading the staff and managing related functions including but not limited to vendor relations, monitor compliance with the operational standards, procedures, and policies and ensure all vendors are complying with government mandated laws.
GENERAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Core Work Activities:
Successful establishment and launch of client market.
Develop with the consultant the opening leasing strategy and initial tenancy partner.
Develop in line with global trends clearly defined vendor strategies for all retail spaces ongoing from opening.
Maintain a database of perspective brand, artisans and products that could be obtained as a vendor.
Work with the Finance Director and general manager to create the annual budget for the overall leasing strategy.
Create and submit reports on a monthly basis detailing the effectiveness and outcomes of all vendor operations.
Monitor and report variances against budget in monthly finance meetings with corporate management.
Develop and monitor sales reports and financial statements for monthly submission.
Work with the marketing team to develop and initiate a B B Marketing campaign to attract perspective vendors and develop data base.
Conduct market research locally and internationally to identify market requirements for current and future products.
Develop product and brand positioning that differentiates our brands in the market.
Develop lease pricing strategies while keeping in mind the Company`s objectives and vendor satisfaction.
Negotiate contracts with vendors to obtain the best commercial returns as per budget and ownership expectations.
Oversee the onboarding of all vendors and ensure their fit out, display and product range meet expectation and follow the market policies.
Managing Vendor Relations:
Be the primary point of contact for all vendor queries.
Oversee daily operations of tenants to ensure compliance with market policies and pass on any information required.
Ensure vendors deliver appropriate service recovery to ensure complete guest satisfaction.
Improve market operation by monitoring vendors to understand if the offering meets guest expectation and adjust strategy where required.
Respond to and handle vendor problems and complaints in a prompt and professional manner.
Ensure the storage space and staff areas are cared for by all vendors and issue violations where applicable.
Human Resource Activities:
Comply with all company policies and procedures.
Create a fun, energetic, and team oriented working environment for entire staff.
Additional Responsibilities:
Provide timely and accurate reports and information, as and when required, to the Senior Management, by telephone, in written form, email, or in person.
You may be involved in financial procedures such as daily banking, purchasing, petty cash, payroll, etc.
Ensure vendors maintain the highest possible hygiene and maintenance standards across the entire market.
Ensure the highest degree of vendor employee s personal hygiene.
Comply with all local laws regarding all safety requirements including Fire, Life & Safety, occupational health & safety, and food safety within entire market space.
Complete monthly Food Hygiene audits on all food service vendors.
Work in close cooperation with all other key departments in the business to ensure a smooth operation.
Attend required meetings and daily briefings with your team members ensuring efficient communication, to run different section of the restaurants smoothly.
Requirements
A successful and proven track record in retail leasing.
Strong network of Riyadh and greater Saudi based brands, concepts and artisans.
A strong background in retail tenant management.
Experience acting as a tenant / vendor liasion.
Experience in pre-opening large venue`s and possessing strong project management skills.
Experience in negotiation, contract work and Riyadh leasing laws.
Demonstrated financial budgeting and strategy experience.
Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work well under pressure.
Dynamic, energetic, keen, and enthusiastic.
People focus with commitment to delivering exceptional levels of guest service.
