Production Engineer HVAC

Responsibilities:
• Take the lead for all repair and new installations/ equipment related to HVA/C system.
• Review of construction drawings and planning site activities in coordination with other sections.
• Verify construction drawings, duct design & duct sizing in accordance with ISO standards, EU regulations, SMACNA guide and DW144 for ductwork specification & fabrication procedures and consult with Engineering for any gaps.
• Carryout inspection of materials (as needed) based on technical approval provided by engineering or MR (Material requisition) with the section.
• Assess Man hours and Material cost for estimation
• Setting targets for people, evaluating performance of subordinates, identifying skill gaps and provide training to personnel.
• Carryout Job ID/ survey for jobs internal, external, and offshore jobs. Provide solutions to client in consultation with engineering. Assess man-hours and material cost for repair job estimation.
• Responsible for selection recruitment of production workmen, foremen and Sr. foreman staff in coordination with people Dept.
• Prepare Installation method statements, HVA/C construction procedures, TRA, assess risk and mitigation plan. Preparation of Pre-commissioning & commissioning procedure in consultation with Engineering.
• Carry out design (as required) in consideration with various heat generating / transmitting / equipment /material with the aid of cooling Load Estimation software (Carrier HAP latest version) when required for minor jobs. Verify and consult with HVA/C Engineering wherever required.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, encourage Think Tank Ideas, Improvement requests etc.
• Assess workload and arrange sub-contractor/ labour if over loaded. Assess sub-contract capabilities and monitor progress. Ensure periodic maintenance and calibration (as applicable) for all tools and equipment.
• Monitor and control on consumption & wastage of materials and consumables.
• Responsible for man-power allocation, production, quality, safety, and productivity. Ensure booking of Man hours in correct sequence.
